memorial day.


Well, the past two days have been the typical Memorial Day…lazy and filled with junk food. I grazed a lot on pizza, no bake cookies, some chocolate…in essence, lots of delicious stuff, none of it all that great for a healthy lifestyle.

My running plans today came to a screeching halt when I woke up to massive thunderstorms complete with torrential rainfall that stuck around a good majority of the day. Happy Memorial Day, right?

Tomorrow, I am anxious to get back to a normal schedule, meals with real food, and regular exercise. Tomorrow, I’m excited to start Jillian June with day one of the 30 Day Shred. June…where did it come from?!?

Today, I remember those who served our country. Thank you to all who died for our freedom, all who came home safe, and all serving today. This day is not about the unofficial start of summer, barbeques and grilling out, beer, and sunshine. This day is for you.
