homemade guac.


I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I love, love, love guacamole.

Despite that, I’ve never actually made my own. I know it’s really not that hard, but for some reason, it always intimidated me. That ended today.

Have you ever made your own guacamole? I highly recommend it. Let’s look at how easy it is.

Start with an avocado. Pick one that’s not too hard, not too soft.

Cut off all the brownish, fleshy outside and cut out the pit. Unless you plan on eating all the guac in one sitting, save the pit!

Once all the avocado is cut out, mash it up. Then, comes the fun part! So you’re not just eating mushed up avocado, add stuff to it! I put in some pico de gallo.

And, the juice from a quarter of a lime.

Mix it all together and enjoy!

Remember that pit you saved? If you don’t eat all the guac in one sitting, put the pit in there and it keeps it from getting brown.
