big things are coming.

This week marked what I think are some major milestones for just a one girl revolution.

I’ve got more than 100 posts.

I’ve had more than 2,000 hits.

I am now officially self-hosted.

I know I’ve only been writing for about two-ish months, but when I started, I never thought anyone would actually want to read what I have to say. And, I didn’t start writing just to gain readers. But, to those of you that do read, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read my words, for commenting, for encouraging and motivating, for being a part of my journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Taking the step into self-hosting makes me feel like a “real” blogger. Not that I didn’t feel like that before when WordPress was hosting my site, I completely did then. Yet, there was something about paying the money to buy my domain and make that transition that makes it all feel somehow different. I literally own this site now (well, for the next 365 days at least), so I feel even more committed to make it the best it can be.

And with that, I want to work hard and make some changes for what will hopefully be the better.

First on the agenda, I want to start including pictures of things other than just my food. I want to share more of my life, my heart, my everyday. I know it’s not much of a change, but everything has to start somewhere.

In time, there will be more changes. But, for today, one step at a time.

What would you love to see on just a one girl revolution.?

I love the idea of having pictures of other parts of day to share with us. Maybe one thing that makes you smile each day? Or a picture of something that motivates you to do whatever it is (blog, eat well, exercise, etc.). I do enjoy reading your blog. I love your honesty, and you truly seem like a genuine person!

Found your blog and am excited to read along! 🙂 Also, I believe you are attending the Healthy Living Summit, correct? I’ll be there too!

I think there have been a couple things that have helped, at least in terms of the number of readers. Every Tuesday at 9 (Eastern time), there’s a “chat” on Twitter called #fitblog where you can join in at I participate in that almost every week. Putting links to my latest entries on Twitter. Commenting on the other blogs I read, especially the ones that are more highly trafficked (like Healthy Tipping Point, for example). I think the most important thing, though, is really just focusing on writing from the heart and not focusing on the numbers.
