the hls weekend has arrived.

08.13.10

Approximately FOUR HOURS until I depart the state shaped like a hand (that would be Michigan) and head for the fabulous city of Chicago! Sick of my Healthy Living Summit countdown yet? If you are, never fear because that was the last one (for this year, anyhow)!

In the spirit of I’m heading out of town and don’t want to worry about dishes, I stopped at the local bagel shop for breakfast and some much needed coffee.

I got the usual: a salsa pepperjack bagel with veggie cream cheese

They piled on the cream cheese. Dislike. I scraped half of it off, which definitely shows how much my habits have changed in recent years. I used to be all about the cream cheese and definitely piled it on.

What’s your favorite bagel combination? My absolute favorite is the cinnamon crunch from Panera with hazelnut cream cheese. Nom, nom.

There was also a midmorning doughnut that I didn’t photograph since my camera is all packed up. But, it looked and tasted amazingly good.

I’m almost all packed and ready to go. I have to throw a few last minute things in my suitcase when I get home from work, run a couple errands (fill up the car with gas, get some more (and much needed) caffeine), and hit the road!

Next time you hear from me, I’ll be in Chicago hanging out with some fabulous people! Woohoo!!
