poptart fail.

Apparently, if you burn PopTarts, the smell carries throughout the entire floor of my office.  Normally, not a problem.  Except, said smell totally got me busted for the contraband toaster my department keeps.  Turns out it’s not contraband anymore, but still.  I felt like an idiot. #fail.

And, burnt PopTarts?  Not so tasty.

On a brighter note, we had the second weight in for the office holiday weight loss competition.  We’re going by the FFAA.  The formerly fat ass association that is.

drumroll please…

I did fabulous this week and I’m in the lead!  Woot!  Now, I just need to still be in the lead in about seven weeks when we finish so I can win the cash!

After a post-weigh in breakfast, I ended up going to lunch like two hours later.  A few of us went to Sami’s Pita House which is one of my favorite local places if you need something quick and easy.

I had the baba ganoush sandwich with ever single veg they offer (think of like every veg you can get at Subway, then add a few more) and some feta.  Because feta makes it betta.

I left work early today so I could have a few hours to get things done since Andrea and Ryan’s wedding is TOMORROW!  I am so excited!!!

I anticipated going for a run but lunch sat in my stomach like a rock and I could sense major disaster coming on.  So, I took a nap instead.  Best decision of the day.

As we were wrapping up the rehearsal, Ryan’s mom comes up to me and says that at dinner, I just need to tell the waitstaff that “I’m the vegetarian” and they have a special meal just for me, and it’s something not normally on the menu.

I really had no idea what to expect.  Well, apparently it was eggplant day.  Baba ganoush for lunch and eggplant parm for dinner with some garlic something or other potatoes on the side.  It was SO good.

me (maid of honor!) with the bride and one of the bridesmaids. aren’t we just precious?

So, now I’ve got a fully belly and everything I need for tomorrow is ready to go.  Hopefully, I didn’t forget anything!!

Have you ever been in a wedding party before? This is my fifth time, but only the second time for one of my friends.  I was the flower girl for one of my sister’s friends when I was about five, a junior bridesmaid for one sister, a bridesmaid for the other sister, and a bridesmaid for a childhood friend.

I’ve been in the wedding party twice… maid of honor for my cousin and for my BFF. It was fun.

I was the matron of honor for my friend’s wedding this past May but other than that the only wedding party I have been in was my own :). I’m thinking that once my sisters and friends get older that I’ll be in more though. I think that’s what happens when you’re the oldest sister and one of the youngest of your close friends to get married!

Boo on the burned poptart/toaster situation! I have to say, you’ve been making me crave a poptart, and I don’t think I’ve had one since high school when I lived at home. Perhaps next shopping trip I’ll pick up a box for memory’s sake. 🙂

Little sister, you can be funny. Never heard the poptart story.
