zumba: a love/hate relationship.

I have a love/hate relationship with my Zumba class.

I love that it’s a great, fun workout.  I love that it’s exercise that doesn’t really feel like exercise.  I love the wide range of people it brings out.  There’s anyone from a couple grandmas (no joke.) to a couple guys some people who can’t dance at all to women of all shapes and sizes.  There are some who are epic (and those are the ones I watch when I get lost), and people like me who falls somewhere in the middle.  I love the fun music.  I love that it’s something a little different in my workout schedule beyond the standard yoga and running.

I hate that it doesn’t start until after 5:30.  By the time I get home, it’s close to 7:00.  On nights like tonight when I have a couple stops to make after I get out, it’s even later.  It makes for a late dinner.

Clearly, the love outweighs the hate.

But, 7:45 is not my ideal time to eat dinner.  It’s worth the sacrifice, if you could call it that, though.

I really wanted something quick and easy once I got home.  Enter the sandwich.  Not just any sandwich, don’t be fooled.  The sharp cheddar and Granny Smith apple sandwich, grilled on the George Foreman, panini style.

Yep.  It was good.  About 1/3 of the apple was on the sandwich and I ate the rest on the side.

What’s your favorite sandwich combo? I’m on an apple kick lately, first with the peanut butter, honey, and apple; now this!

I love cheese and apples together! Any sweet and savory sandwich combo is good in my book 🙂
