making progress.

12.28.10

This whole long break from work with no major plans thing?  Absolutely awesome.

Minus either completely sleeping through my alarm or turning it off in my sleep (not sure which), today has been great.  I met my friend Shelly at Wolfgang’s, my absolute favorite breakfast place in town.  Granted I was more than thirty minutes late because of the aforementioned alarm clock issues, but beyond that, it was great.  It has been far too long since I’ve seen her!

I got my Wolfgang’s standard:  vegetable and cheddar omelet, English muffin toast, and hash browns with onions.  With the exception of maybe one time, this is the only thing I have ever had there.  It’s that good.  Well, that and there’s not a ton of other veg-friendly options to choose from.

In the rush to get out the door, I forgot my camera.  The phone on my camera is lousy quality, but it does the trick when I need it.

The rest of my day has been equally enjoyable.  I watched an episode of Gilmore Girls, then spent some time cleaning/organizing/getting rid of junk I don’t need lying around anymore.  My goal is to make a large donation to the local Goodwill-esque place in town by the end of the week.  I love the feeling when everything is freshly cleaned and reorganized.  I’ve got a bunch left to get to, but progress is being made!

I took a break to go see Life As We Know It with Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel.  It was quite predictable, but cute.  Plus, staring at Josh Duhamel for two hours?  Yes, please!

Time to go for a run!

Those hash browns look AWESOME. I sometimes make them at home but they never turn out that good. Yum!
