joining the challenge.

12.31.10

Happy last day of 2010! New Year’s EVE!  It seems crazy to think that!

So, Diana at The Chic Life is hosting the second annual Eat in Month Challenge and I am joining in!

Go here to get all the details but essentially, the challenge is to not eat out for the month of January.  I’m not making any guarantees at how well it will go, but I’m going to give it my best shot!  I’m posting my 2011 goals later today (or maybe tomorrow), but one of them already involved eating out, so I hope this will help me with the goal I already had for myself.

Breakfast this morning was small and simple:  just a bowl of Kashi GoLean Crunch with almond milk.  Exciting, right?

Yeah, I know.  Ridiculously boring.  It was one of those nothing sounds good but I have to eat something kind of mornings.  Cereal it was.

I’m doing a 4 mile race later this afternoon.  All week I’ve been trying to figure out what to do today to get ready.  I have a routine down for races that start in the morning.  For one that starts at 3 in the afternoon?  Not a clue.  Yesterday, I decided to approach it more as just a regular run than a race.  I’m not going into it expecting any PRs, so I’m just going to think of it as a fun run that 700+ other people happen to be doing at the same time!

Tonight I’ve got an epic New Year’s Eve party to attend!  I bought a new dress and everything!  Can’t wait!

What are you doing on this last day of 2010?
