tervis love.

I’m a bit obsessive about carrying a water bottle of some sort with me pretty much all the time.  I figure the more I have access to water, the more likely I am to drink it.  But, once I carry the same one around for while, I find I get bored with it and don’t drink as much.

I’m weird, I know.

I was really excited that at my family Christmas celebration on Saturday, my sister, Kris, and her family gave me a 24 ounce Tervis Tumbler with my alma mater’s logo!  They have a crazy amount of different designs, too.  It’s a bit ridiculous just how many they have!

I have wanter a Tervis for awhile and was thrilled that I can show my Grand Valley pride with one!  I love Tervis cups for multiple reasons, but a highlight is that I can use it for both hot and cold drinks, and that it’s made right here in the US of A!  Companies that keep jobs here make my heart happy.  The best part is they have a lifetime guarantee which is epic for clumsy girls like myself!

Today is the first day I’ve used my new cup and I think I’ve had more water since I woke up than I did all weekend combined.  Before noon, I’ve easily gotten in my 64 ounces!

Tervis Tumbler did not pay me to endorse their product.  I just really, really love it.

breakfast.

I had one lone apple sitting on my counter this morning, waiting to be eaten.  It was clearly a baked apple oats kind of morning.  I sprinkled a cinnamon sugar mix over the apples before warming them up.

Rather than the standard add-in of almond butter, I sprinkled a few cinnamon chips on top and they were an excellent addition!  They got really warm and melty with the apples!  Love.

What is your favorite tip for getting in more water throughout the day?

Love the water container. Looks like those newfangled reusable cups that look like coffee cups, which I think are totally adorable!

And cinnamon chips? Really? I’ve never heard of such a thing. What do they taste like? Where can I buy a bag?

Ah, they’re amazing! I got mine at Meijer (in the baking aisle, the same area as chocolate chips). They taste like…cinnamon? I don’t know a better way to explain it. Just try them. You won’t regret it.

The ones from King Arthur, Meems, are way better and taste much more like natural cinnamon. Plus, they are cute mini-chips.

I love my Nathan water Bottle (http://ashandlewplus2.com/2010/09/17/i-3-nathanthe-water-bottle-that-is/) I wrote this a few months back, I know how you feel. I find that carrying my water bottle all day is the best way to get enough water. My husband, Lew, loves to fill a gallon jug up and make sure that he drinks enough. Have a great day.

One thing I’ve started since coming back to work after the holidays is filling up my water bottle right when I get to work and sitting it next to my computer monitor, so it’s always in my sight and it’s helping me to remember to drink more. 🙂
